Homestead Reminder!
It’s everyone’s favorite time of year again… TAX SEASON! Just kidding – Getting my taxes together usually requires a large diet coke to get me through followed by a glass of wine once I’m done – can you relate? But the reason I’m sharing this with you is to remind you to talk to your CPA about your real estate transaction/ ownership to see if you’re eligible for a tax deduction or 2! If you need a copy of your closing statement, just let me know and I’ll send it over! If you know of any friends who want the tax benefits from owning their own home, I’d love for you to send them my way!
Additionally, its time for new homeowners and recent homeowners to make sure their homestead exemption is filed on their primary residence. Filing can take place between January 1st and March 1st.
